The hobbits are a kindly race of small humanoids, resembling a plump human child in appearance. They live in a human-like society consisting of multiple hobbit-homes, Smials. They are naturally very nimble, and most are able to pick a lock with ease. The truth is, however, that most of the hobbits never leave their homes, preferring to nurture tobacco and speculate on the wordly matters. Hobbits rarely wear shoes, proudly presenting their big and hairy feet others. Hobbits are not ones for physical combat, and usually they silently disappear from the scene if such a thing is about to occur.
