Improvements?

Postby Doom » 04.02.2004 12:02:20

Daeroq improved abit the difference of the races but I think that its not enough... Maybe boosting resistances/stats that is clearly the racial benefit would help players choosing more than one or two races/guild. Also more skill boosts would help alot... And raising skill+spell costs would help the fact that everyone gets full skills needed in most guilds on low totals...

Also somekind of guild based quest/events could be interesting...
I can babble on about these things more if any wizard wants to hear/do about these things something :P

I'd be grateful of constructive feedback...

I have told many times that why guild structures are mostly limited to 60 levels or even lower like healers have only 50 levels to advance. Of course there are guilds that have more levels to advance and the best benefits can be achieved at those last few levels (to: 100% train/study and big bonuses to stats). Most players just advance max levels to gain those benefits. Don't know how big process it is to extend those guild structures and less the chance of training / studying per level.

Maybe there should be some sort of level quest adjustments that you should have done before advancing to next level, like trained/studied needed skills/spells. Don't want to copy-paste the idea from several other muds but it seems to limit those hardcore level-pigs.

Agree or disagree, this is just my opinion or suggestion among Doom's one.

There's support for level requirements but nobody uses them!

Yeah, Thaumaturges have some small quests to do when advancing certain levels, thats good idea indeed. Hopefully those wizards that are responsible over their guilds take a hint of it

Training and studying spells to certain % before next level is really annoying because it forces you to spend exp at stuf you maybe don't want and it also makes it really boring to reinc.

Make more subguilds instead, that way people must specify their exp.

Maybe you could at it to lvl20 so that newbies trains the right spell and skills

starting battle

Postby Zatanic » 05.05.2004 10:09:25

Some idea about when failing skill or spell when starting battle would cause monsters to agro against player.

Also this could be improved even if you start concentrating skill/spell, there would be some chance that monsters feel their life threatened.

shamans

Postby Maaldor » 20.10.2004 15:51:43

no matter does some1 gives a shit about this one but here it comes.

this game contains only one guild for nyyb to get exp needed for other
guilds where all the rate happends. ´just wondering this situation. it gives this fking feeling; there is no other (as)good guild for nuub to start this game than shaman. and my english still sucks but who cares.

and this touches everyone with less than 1g exp.

so if u dont have friends in hi lvl players, u are doomed.

do whatever you want, but for rate,it is shaman.

so my suggestion is,tune shamans down like everything else so it doesnt matter which guild you select when starting this game, they all are woth of same when talking about rate and exp.

just my opinion. i dont know anything about anything.

Thats BS. I've soloed my way up to 1g as Barb/Knight, after that I went abyss up to 8g. It's all about the time you put into it. Sure, most guilds are out of tune, and lots of other things suck, but if you cared about it, you wouldn't be playing WK.

And..? Shaman is not nearly as good as abyss conjurer or knight with 5g, so we should tune ALL DOWN cause of it? You can do exp with all the guilds in the game, its just how you decide what is rate and what is not, ofcourse theres always some guild better than another (with different totals) you just have to live with that :P.

rating

Postby Maaldor » 28.01.2005 00:11:03

its good to notice that my post made arguments.
shaman is the best guild for noob to start gathering exp.

no doubt on that.
but it would be nice if theres atleast 2 or 3 different guilds with same
possibility to get rate as a new starter. I think that there is only shamans
now.

Or just forget it and do whatever u want to.

Eheh. Me thinks rate should be only a minor consideration when choosing which guild to play.
